the Operating System (OS), the program that is in charge of running the
computer. The components and functions of the operating system are
detailed and terminology that is important to the technician is
explained. The emphasis is on the Disk Operating System (DOS). The
student will learn the basics of DOS, the commands used, and the file
structure. Additionally, the student will gain an understanding of
memory management and the tools used to adjust and optimize memory.
