| This chapter will discuss computer
component installation and the assembly of a functional computer. The
chapter takes the information learned in the previous chapters and
guides the student through the computer assembly process.
Safety precautions are emphasized and reviewed in order to keep the
technician safe and to protect expensive computer components. Upon
completion, the student will boot the system and explore the BIOS
configuration, CMOS setup, and troubleshoot initial boot problems using
POST errors.
